On July 6, during the end-of-year ceremony for the Centre of Graduate Studies , Mrs. María Dolores López Medina, a researcher at CuiDsalud, got a prize for his Final Master’s Degree in the Master in Research in Health Sciences. Its title is “The process of umbilical cord fall in newborns in the public health system of Andalusia in the province of Jaén.”
This piece of research is based on the high frequency of neonatal deaths caused by infections, whose gateway is the umbilical cord. Appropriate nursing care in this case has vital importance.
Thus, this study observes the process of umbilical cord fall to the month of life of newborns. And this is only the beginning of what will be an excellent research in the field of nursing.
